Lewis Creek Cottage
Northern Vermont
Located on tranquil hillside in rural Vermont, this private residence endured a significant transformation to its interiors.
The living spaces that were once comprised of dark wood were replaced with bright, clean walls that complement the cottage’s natural surroundings. The open floor plan creates an airy atmosphere and allows natural light to flood the space. Throughout the house, light wood and natural tones are paired with bursts of vibrant furniture that add a warm, inviting feel to each room.
Locally crafted features include stone from Lake Champlain embedded into the living room fireplace, custom wood furniture, and a glass lighting sculpture over the dining room table. A new wooden staircase roots the entrance of the cottage and leads to two bedrooms, bathrooms, and an office on the second floor. The exterior deck, furnished with a dining table and seating, looks out to a canopy of trees and the mountains in the distance.
