Jordan Hotel at Sunday River

The Jordan Hotel lies at the heart of Sunday River, within a treasured mountain region of Maine. The owners engaged TruexCullins to elevate the aesthetic and deliver a fresh look to the lobby and public spaces. Weaving a new design through all parts of the guest journey required a strategic approach. The surrounding landscape inspires the design concept, with much attention given to the area’s unique features and experiences.

The multi-tonal carpet emulates a river as it travels through the corridors, flowing towards the lobby (the forest floor) and picking up debris and leaves as it goes. Art installations feature outdoor equipment and artifacts of the region. Custom millwork and handcrafted furnishings fill the space and build on the hotel’s Arts and Crafts architectural style.

The result is an integrated design solution that is durable and sophisticated and exudes a modern Maine aesthetic.
