Rosebrook Lodge Raises the Bar for On-Mountain Hospitality
Just in time for winter, the newest skier services lodge is now open at Bretton Woods Ski Area. Rosebrook Lodge is a new four-season on-mountain facility that offers guests an enhanced dining experience and special events venue, setting a new standard for on-mountain hospitality.
TruexCullins designed the interiors of the new two-story lodge to welcome guests in and offer a respite from the rugged mountain climate. Timber, steel, stone and glass complement the region’s natural beauty; and the site-specific furnishings, finishes, and millwork are a perfect combination of refined and playful.
Approaching directly from the resort’s new high-speed gondola, guests are immediately welcomed into a two-story atrium, illuminated by a sculptural steel-and-wood pendant installation. Alder wood cladding and limestone flooring anchors the space to the mountain, with broad views of Crawford North sweeping across one side. From the outside, the atrium appears as a lantern at the top of the mountain, a beacon visible from as far away as the Mt. Washington Resort.
The entry level includes a grab-n-go café, the Switchback Grille, and a slopeside bistro. On the upper level, skiers have access to a more casual dining hall with a servery and fireside seating for après ski. In the evening, the upper level transforms into a venue for weddings and special events, with two exterior patios and expansive views of the Presidential Range.
