TruexCullins Raises Over $9,000 for the United Way

United-Way-Group-CROPPEDWe approached our 2013 United Way Campaign with fresh energy and commitment to help those less fortunate. Our donation was presented to the United Way of Chittenden County’s Manager of Business Development Reed Curry.

“Thanks to generous annual support from great companies like TruexCullins” stated Curry “The United Way of Chittenden County can pursue our mission to build a stronger Vermont through collaborations like Working Bridges, an employment-support program design to  help Vermonters stay employed and advance at work.  Thank you, TruexCullins!”

The majority of TruexCullins donation came from owners’ and employees’ individual contributions. Almost $800 was raised through a silent auction of goods and talents from TruexCullins architects, designers and staff. This included: beautifully handcrafted furniture by Rolf Kielman, a day of golfing, private snowboarding lessons, bicycle maintenance and a variety of tasty homemade treats!  A few area businesses participated, Advance Music, gave certificates private music lessons and Hotel Vermont, one night stay and breakfast for two at their gorgeous new hotel.

The campaign ended on Friday with a spirited lunch celebration. Nepalese food from Sherpa Kitchen was appreciated by the entire office. Door prizes were handed out including a gift certificate from Cobblestone Deli, a handbag from a vender and a few other fun items. The firm sponsored the lunch and added $2,500 to the individual donations bringing the total raised $9,373!
