Take this short survey on Personality Types and Workplace Design

by Matthew Bushey, April 22, 2014

We know that a properly designed workspace offers areas for group collaboration as well as for individual focused work.  But is this mix of spaces a one-size-fits-all solution?  Or do we each respond differently to our physical environment based on not just what we do, but also who we are?

Cam Featherstonhaugh and I are currently exploring the relationship between personality types and workplace design.  Our theory is that by considering the personality types of a company’s workforce, we can provide a more tailored environment where individuals can work more effectively.  Workspaces that are designed for the needs of specific personalities would provide opportunities for group collaboration and spaces for individual focus, in a manner than suits each person’s own style. In the end, this leads to improved worker comfort, satisfaction, and productivity.

Curious?  As part of this research, we have prepared a short 2-minute survey on personality types and workplace design preferences.

Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey by following this link:

All individual responses will be kept confidential, and your results will be combined with the nearly 200 other survey responses we have already received to shed some light on this relationship between personality and the workplace.

We will be presenting our findings at two local conferences this spring, which are listed on the page following the survey.   And if you would like a copy of our results, just send a request to mbushey@truexcullins.com
