Designer Home

South Burlington, VT

This active family with two small children needed more room in their historic 1940’s stone cape style home. In order to accommodate their busy lifestyle, they built an addition onto their home to provide more multi-purpose space.

The new addition functions as an all-purpose family room and office with abundant natural light, taking full advantage of stunning views to the west. The kids have their own areas for homework and play and there are side-by-side workspaces for both parents. The large open living room allows for entertaining and casual dining by the fire. The interior design is intentionally quiet, given the varied uses of the space.
