Interior Design Team Assists Burlington Emergency Shelter
by TruexCullins, August 18, 2013
Burlington Emergency Shelter contacted TruexCullins Interiors requesting assistance with their well-worn building’s interior. They wanted to create a more up-lifting environment for the people staying with them. The Burlington Emergency Shelter provides temporary housing, food and transitional support services to homeless men and women in Burlington, Vermont.
The leader of the Interior Studio and Principal Kim Deetjen, with her design team, spent several days at the Burlington Emergency Shelter (BES) providing paint color recommendations and guidance on space design. They also contacted hotel clients in the implementation phases of renovations and found much needed furniture donations for BES.
The shelter is in the process of repainting with the contemporary-soothing new paint colors. BES shared their appreciation to TruexCullins Interiors. “Thank you Kim and our friends at TruexCullins for donating your time and energy to beautifying our space at BES!” shares Executive Director Valerie Brouseau, “We are so grateful to be able to create a temporary home for all of our guests that is peaceful and welcoming!”
